MEDIA & EVENTS

Taggsstock 2018 was in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support, River Thames Boat Project and St Phillips School.

An amazing event hosted and organised by residents from the island.

Taggs Island on the BBC One Show with Ben Fogle - 15th February 2011.

In 2004 the Discovery Channel ran a 6 part series on the building of a state of the art houseboat in Chiswick. Each week they had a section where they looked at other houseboat communities. This was filmed in April 2003.

A fascinating insight into the history of Taggs Island as seen by a freediver scouring the river bed around the island.

Meet the Londoner who rules over his own 'paradise island' right in the middle of the River Thames

The River Thames island that's said to be plagued by an evil gypsy curse that makes everything go very wrong

A century ago Taggs Island on the Thames was a huge draw for high society, hosting an opulent ballroom and casino. Today it's a desirable haven and well kept secret, and home to a resident who states the case for independence.

A return to Tagg's Island with full scuba kit was inevitable. After my first solo expedition a few years ago I was eager to get back in the water with a team of divers and increase the ground we could cover. With the help of the Hackney Sub Aqua Club and underwater archeologist Gary Bankhead we got stuck in!
